Gardaí in Tullamore investigating a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Church Road, Tullamore at approximately 4am this morning wish to appeal for witnesses.
A 21 years old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car. The injured male was brought to the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore but later transferred to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. He is described as been in a critical condition. The driver of the car was uninjured.
The road is currently closed pending the completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
