Garda – Shooting incident Dublin 13th October 2013

Gardai at the Bridewell are investigating the circumstances of a shooting incident which occurred on the Old Cabra Road, Dublin 7.

At approximately 2.30 a.m. this morning a 28-year-old male was seriously injured when a gunman opened fire on a group of people standing outside a public house on the Old Cabra Road at Hanlon’s Corner. He was taken by ambulance to The Mater Hospital where his condition is described as serious. Three females (aged 19,28and 33) also injured during the incident were taken by ambulance to St James and Connolly Hospitals. Their injuries are not though to be life threatening.

The scene is preserved for a forensic and technical examination. No arrests have been made to date.
