Fatal Road Traffic Collision- Rochfortbridge Co Westmeath 5/10/13

Gardaí at Mullingar Co Westmeath are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred this morning 5/10/13 at approximately 1.20am at Newcastle, Rochfortbridge, Co Westmeath. A male pedestrian, 45 years was fatally injured when he was struck by a car.

The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene. The road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda Forensic Examination.
