Gardai have seized drugs and arrested two males following a seach operation at Johnstownbridge, Co. Kildare.
In an intelligence lead operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs detectives from the Garda National Drug Unit searched a house at Johnstownbridge this afternoon.
What is described as a sophisticated ‘mixing factory’ for cocaine and heroin was discovered. Cocaine and heroin with an estimated street value of up to 2 million euro (pending analysis) was seized. Mixing agents (pending analysis) were also seized.
Two males, 40 and 53 years of age, were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Leixlip Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination.
