Theft of poisonous substances on the 6/11/13

Gardaí in Celbridge are investigating a burglary at a Veterinary Clinic in Celbridge, Co Kildare which occurred between 8.30pm on the 5th of November and 5pm on the 6th November 2013.

During the course of the burglary a number of items were taken. One of the items taken was "Release” which contains a very poisonous substance - pentobarbital.

This is a toxic substance and is not intended for human consumption.

The Release product was contained in a 100ml clear glass bottle with an orange and white label and the words "Release" written in block capitals across the label. It is believed that there was only 15ml of pentobarbital in the glass bottle when it was taken.

An image of the bottle is available by email request to office pressoffice@garda.ie
