Serious road traffic collision at Cobh, Cork on the 3/11/13

Gardai in Cobh are investigation a serious road traffic collision which occurred in Cobh on the morning of the 3rd November 2013.

The collison occurred at approximately 8.30pm on Ballynoe Hill, Cobh close to the junction of Ballynoe hill and the Tay Road.

A female pedestrian 52yrs was out walking when she was struck by a vehicle which failed to stop. The female was taken to Cork University hospital where her condition is described as serious. The road was closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination it has since re-opened.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on that rd between 8am and 8.45am to contact the Gardai in Cobh on 021 4908530, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
