Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Athboy County Meath Sunday 3rd November 2013

Gardaí at Kells Ceanannus Mor, are investigating all the circumstances surrounding a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on Main Street, (N51), Athboy, County Meath, on Sunday, 3rd November 2013, at approximately 6.15pm, where a male pedestrian, 77 years, was fatally injured.

The driver, (sole occupant), of the one vehicle involved, was uninjured.

The male pedestrian was removed to Our Ladies Hospital, Navan, County Meath, where he was pronounced dead. A post mortem is to be arranged.

The Main Street (N51), Athboy, remains closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
