Gardaí at Bantry are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Tooreen, Skibbereen, Co Cork.
The collision is believed to have happened sometime between 10pm last night (21/11/13) and 7am this morning (22/11/13). A 36 year old female (only occupant) was fatally injured when her car left the road at the above location.
The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses to this collision and in particular to any person who may have travelled on the road between Drimoleague and Skibbereen between the hours of 10pm last night and 7am this morning to contact them at Bantry Garda Station on 027-20860 The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
