Fatal road traffic collision at Garristown, Dublin on the 25/11/13

Gardaí at Balbriggan are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the R130 in Baldwinstown/Garristown last night, Monday 25th November 2013 at approximately 9.35pm.

A male, 22 years, passenger of the vehicle, was fatally injured when the car he was a passenger in collided with a tree. He was pronounced dead at scene and removed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, where a full post mortem will take place today 26th November, 2013. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.
