Witness appeal following the recovery of a body Dublin 29th April 2013

Gardaí at Pearse Street are appealing to the public for information following the recovery of a body of a male from the river Liffey on the 29th April 2013.

The body of a 25-year-old male was recovered from the river Liffey on Monday 29th of April by members of the Garda Water Unit during a search operation.

The man was last seen while socialising with friends at a floating music venue on the  River Liffey in the early hours of Saturday 27th April. He was reported missing by family members having failed to return home.

Gardai are appealing for information from any person who was in the vicinity of Sir John Rogerson’s Quay / River Liffey / Britain Quay / or on board a floating music venue, between 03:00hrs and 08:00hrs on Saturday 27th April 2013 to contact them.

A number of witnesses have come forward and are assisting with the investigation.
