Stolen property recovered - three arrested Co. Carlow 18th May 2013

Gardai attached to Enniscorthy have recovered large amount property and arrested three people as part of an investigation targeting organised criminal groups involved in retail theft in the South East of the country.

During today’s operation Gardai searched two houses in Carlow Town and recovered property in excess of €5,000 linked to a number of thefts from retail outlets in recent months. The property recovered includes a large amount of perfume, clothing, and assortment of electrical items.

Two females (50s & late teens) and a male (late teens) were arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Ennsicorthy Garda Station.

A female aged in her teens expected to appear before a sitting of Gorey District Court later this evening (18/5/2013) charged in connection with the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
