Operation Aughrim searches 05.05.13

As part of Operation Aughrim, an intelligence led operation was conducted today by Gardai targeting the activities of an organised criminal gang involved in the theft of mobile phones and related offences.

Gardai from the DMR South Central Division carried out a number of planned searches at residential locations in the Tallaght and North Circular Road areas.

During the course of the searches property was seized including a quantity of phones (including smart phones), laptops, cameras, sat navs, SIM cards, ATM cards, jewellery, watches and a quantity of cash including Euro and Sterling. There were also false identity cards recovered.

There were no arrests.
