Murder of Alan Desmond, Tallaght, Dublin 24

Gardaí in Tallaght investigating the murder of Alan Desmond are appealing for information from the public in relation to this investigation.

As a result of a 999 call on Saturday 18th May 2013, Gardaí attended a field near the Killinarden Hill area of Tallaght, where they discovered the body of a male.  This man has been identified as 37 year old Alan Desmond of Kilclare Avenue, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

 
Gardaí in Tallaght investigating the death of Alan are appealing for anyone who may have seen, spoke or engaged with Alan between the last time he was seen on Monday 29th of April 2013, until the day his body was found on Saturday the 18th May 2013, to contact them.  Gardaí are also appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Killinarden Hill area between the same dates to contact them. 
 

Alan’s body was discovered by children on Saturday evening 18th May 2013 at approximately 9pm. Gardaí are appealing to local parents whose children may have been in the area and possibly spoke to them about any unusual or suspicious activity to contact the Incident Room at Tallaght Garda Station. A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to the Desmond family, who are working closely with Gardaí.
