Gardai in Castlebar are investigating an incident in which a male in his mid teens received stab injuries in Castlebar on the 6th May 2013.
The incident occurred at approximately 1.35pm on the 6th May 2013 in Market Sq, Castlebar. The injured male was taken to Mayo General Hospital for treatment. His injuries are described as being non life threatening.
A male 19yrs was arrested a short time later in connection with the incident and was detained at Castlebar Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended. He was later charged and will appear before Roscommon District Court at 10.30am on the 7th May 2013.
