Gardaí at Castlerea are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on N5 between Ballinagare and Tulsk, Co. Roscommon at approximately 5 a.m. this morning 11th May 2013.
A male driver in his late 50s was fatally injured when the lorry he was driving was in collision with another lorry. He was the sole occupant of the lorry and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver (early 40s) of the other lorry was removed to Castlebar General Hospital with minor injuries.
The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators with diversions in place.
