Cannabis herb €750,000 seized and man arrested Dublin 30th April 2013

Gardai have seized cannabis herb and arrested a man following an operation in Dublin this morning (30/4/2013). The discovery was made when Gardai from the Bridewell Garda Station stopped and searched a van on Victoria Quay.

Cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €750,000 (pending analysis) was seized. A man aged in his late 30s was arrested and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, a the Bridewell Garda Station. (He can be held for up to 7-days)

The investigation is ongoing.
