Two men arrested in Newbridge, Kildare under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act as 1939 on the 28/2/13

As part of ongoing investigations into dissident republican activity, Gardai from the Special Detective Unit, Harcourt Square, Dublin 2 assisted by local and National units, searched a house in Newbridge, Co Kildare on the evening of the 28th February 2013.

 During the course of the search Gardai located a number of items associated with the manufacture of pipe bombs.  Two males (39 & 45yrs) were arrested and are being detained under the provisions of Section 30 Offences of the State Act as amended.  One is being detained in Naas the other in Newbridge.
