Serious injury Road Traffic Collision Co. Cork 17th March 2013

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a serious injury road traffic collision in Youghal on the 17th March 2013. At approximately 2000 hours a 28-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car at Upper Strand, Youghal. He was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital.

Forensic collision investigators are at the scene and a technical and forensic examination of the scene is currently underway. The road remains closed and diversions are in place.
