Gardai have arrested 6 people following an incident in which a Garda member received a serious facial injury.
At approximately 4am this morning Gardai were called to a house at Redwood Lawn, Tallaght following a report of a disturbance at the property.
When Gardai arrived and entered the house they were confronted by a number of individuals present and a male Garda was assaulted. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. He has since been released from Hospital.
Gardai arrested 6 people at the scene in relation to the incident, 2 females and 4 males ranging in ages from their early 20’s to early 50’s. They were detained at Tallaght Garda Station and were subsequently released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
