Armed robbery in Coolock, Dublin on the 14/3/13 - Two males arrested

Gardai in Coolock investigating an armed robbery which occurred at Clare Hall Shopping centre on the 14th March 2013 have arrested 2 males(29 and 28yrs).

The robbery occurred at approximately 10.30am when one male approached and threatened a Cash In Transit employee to hand over the cash box, the culprit was believed to be in possession of a firearm. The culprit fled the scene in a waiting car which drove towards the Malahide road. Gardai received a call that males were acting suspiciously on the N32, Gardai went to the scene and after a brief search they arrested two males who were detained under the provisions of section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended at Coolock Garda station. In the course of the search the Garda Dog Unit, armed units and the Garda helicopter were utilised.
 

The cash box and all the cash recovered. The firearm was also discovered close by.

 
A burnt out car similar to the one used in the robbery was located a short time later.
