Arrest - Dissident Republican Activity 16th June 2013

Gardaí from the Special Detective Unit based at Harcourt Square investigating the activities of Dissident Republicans searched a business premises in the Navan area yesterday evening (16/6/13).

During the course of the search three (3) pistols and assorted ammunition were recovered along with other paraphernalia.

A man in his 30’s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Kells Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Investigations are continuing.
