At approximately 4pm yesterday evening the 8th January 2013, Gardai from Tulla, Co Clare were out on routine patrol when they stopped and searched a car at Ballyblood, Tulla, Clare.
During the course of the search Gardai found drug paraphernalia and cartridges. The Gardai arrested 2 males (17 & 22yrs) and conveyed them to Killaloe Garda Station where they are being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
During follow searches Gardai discovered a suspicious device in a house on Main Street, Tulla at approx 7.30pm. The area was immediately sealed off and the EOD were requested. The area was declared safe at 11pm and the Main Street was re-opened. The device was described as being viable.
