Drug seizure and arrest at Berkley Road, Dublin 7 on the 24/1/13

As part of a joint intelligence led operation between the Garda National Drugs Unit and the Revenue’s Customs Service assisted by the North Central Drugs Unit a 25 year old man was stopped and searched on Berkley Road, Dublin 7 yesterday evening (24/1/13).

During the course of the search Herbal Cannabis (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €180,000 was seized.  The 25 year old man is currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
 

Investigations are continuing.
