Gardai in Tuam are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Woodquay, Weir Road, Tuam at approximately 6.30pm on the 10.02.13.
The male driver in his 60’s and sole occupant was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a wall. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to University College Hospital Galway.
This stretch of the road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
