Gardaí at Killimor are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Kylebrack East, Loughrea at approximately 9pm last night 14/2/13.
A 51 year old male pedestrian was struck by a car at the above location and seriously injured. He was taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe, Co Galway where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
No other person was injured in this incident.
A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda forensic collision investigators.
