The two males arrested in connection with the seizure of cannabis plants outside Virginia yesterday are scheduled to appear before Ballyconnell District Court this morning at 10.30am charged in connection with the seizure.

As part of a planned operation targeting the cultivation of cannabis in the Cavan area Gardai have seized cannabis plants and arrested two males.
Gardai from Bailieboro carried out a planned search of a warehouse on the outskirts of Virginia, Co. Cavan this morning and discovered cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €700,000 (pending analysis).
Two males in their 20’s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Bailieboro Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
