Serious road traffic collision at Barryroe, Co Cork on the 6/8/13

Gardai in Bandon are investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred at Barryroe, Co Cork on the 8th August 2013.

The collision occurred at approximately 6.30pm at Barryroe, on the Clonakilty to Timolague Road (about 5miles from Clonakilty).  A car collided with a male (3yrs) pedestrian.  The child was seriously injured and is being transferred to Crumlin Children's hospital by air ambulance.


The road has being closed to facilitate a Forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.
