Fatal road traffic collision on the L1002, Offaly on the 23/8/13

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the Bracknagh to Monasterevin Road (L1002) this morning the 23rd of August 2013.

A man in his 50's was fatally injured when the articulated truck he was driving left the road shortly after 8am.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  There was no other vehicle involved in the collision. 
 

The road is closed and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are carrying out an examination at the scene.
