Fatal road traffic collision in Mallow, Cork on the 23/8/13

Gardaí are investigating a fatal traffic collision at Knocknacullata, Killavullen, Mallow Co. Cork which occurred at 5.45pm on Friday 23rd August 2013.

A 14 year old boy was fatally injured when he fell from a tractor. The boy who was a passenger on the tractor received serious head injuries and was airlifted to Cork University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The road at the scene remains closed pending a forensic collision examination of the area and diversions are in place.
