Gardaí at Store Street, Dublin, are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, on Monday 5th of August 2013 at approximately 2.40am.
There were three male occupants in the vehicle when it collided with a lock bridge on the quay, fatally injuring one male, early 20s. A second male, early 20s, received serious injuries and was taken to the Mater Hospital and the third male received minor injuries.
The vehicle involved, a taxi, had been taken from its owner in the area, prior to the collision.
North Wall Quay is currently closed for forensic collision investigation and diversions are in place.
