Drug seizure in Wexford on the 4/8/13

Gardaí have arrested a man in his early 60s and seized a quantity of drugs at Chapelwood, Kilmuckridge yesterday afternoon Sunday 4th August, 2013.

Shortly after 3.30p.m. Gardaí were called to a incident at a house in Chapelwood and discovered cannabis growing in the upstairs of the house. The plants have an estimated street value (subject to analysis) of €240,000.

One man was arrested at the scene and taken to Enniscorthy Garda Station where he is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. He can be detained for up to seven days.
