Court Appearance - Aggravated Burglary in Waterford on the 12/8/13

Gardai in Waterford have charged the male arrested in relation to the aggravated burglary that occured at a house in Meadowbank, Cork Road, Waterford this morning Monday 12th August 2013.

The man in his late 20s will appear before a special sitting of Waterford District Court tomorrow morning Tuesday 13th August, 2013 at 10.30a.m. charged in relation to the incident.

Gardai in Waterford have arrested a man following an aggravated burglary at a house in Meadowbank, Cork Road, Waterford that occured this morning, Monday the 12th August 2013.

The incident occurred at approximately 2am when a lone male carrying a machete forced his way into the family home. The male threatened one of the residents of the house and he then fled the scene. No persons were injured at the time of the incident.


Gardai investigating the incident arrested a man in his late 20s at midday today in the Waterford area. He is currently detained at Waterford Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
