Witness Appeal - Cash in Transit Robbery in Killiney, Dublin on the 8/4/13

Gardai in Cabinteely are investigating the robbery of a cash in transit van at the Killiney Shopping Centre at approximately 10am this morning.

A lone male, no better described, approached a cash in transit employee and threatened him. The raider was reported as having a hand gun. The raider left the scene with an undisclosed sum of money in a red Peugeot van, registration 97 WX 1591. 
 

Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses to this robbery and in particular to the movements of this van before and after the robbery. The van was parked in the public car park at the back of Euro Spar, Killiney Shopping Centre prior to the robbery. The van travelled onto Rochestown Ave then Rochestown Park and was found abandoned in the Church carpark in Sallynoggin a short time later. This van is described as having water dripping from the doors at the rear.
