Renewed Appeal for Information - Murder of David Darcy in November 2011

Following the conviction in the Special Criminal Court yesterday 9/4/13 of a person for the murder of David Darcy on Monday 28th November 2011 at Cherry Orchard Ave, Ballyfermot investigating Gardaí have renewed their appeal for further information.

As part of this murder investigation Gardaí examined a car which was found burned out on Inagh Road, Ballyfermot shortly after the shooting on 28/11/11.  The car, a dark blue Opel Astra 99 CE 3047 was stolen on the 23rd November 2011.  Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this car’s movements in the 5 days leading up to the murder to contact them.   
 

In addition Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious on Cherry Orchard Avenue or on Inagh Road on the morning of the murder. 
 

Gardaí would particularly like to appeal to people passing through this area on the 28/11/11, such as Taxi Drivers, Bus Drivers or people going to work who may be able to assist or to anyone who has any information in relation to this murder to contact Ballyfermot Garda station on 01- 6667200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
