Gardai in Cavan are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R154 at Cavancoulter at approximately 11.15am this morning.
A male in his 30’s was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a tractor. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to Cavan General Hospital. The driver of the tractor was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital with injuries described as not life threatening.
This stretch of road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
