Gardaí at Nenagh, Co Tipperary are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Bantiss, Cloughjordan, Co Tipperary at approximately 5.45pm yesterday (26/4/13).
A male driver aged 24 years (only occupant) was fatally injured when the van he was driving collided with a tree. He was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise where he was later pronounced dead.
The road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.
