Fatal road traffic collision at Milltown, Galway on the 22/4/13

Gardai in Tuam are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on N17 1.5 kilometers south of Milltown, at approximately 3.40p.m. today Monday 22nd April, 2013.

A male driver aged 72 years was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a wall. The driver was pronounced dead at scene and has been removed to the morgue at University Hospital Galway.

The road is open with local diversions in place.
