Drug seizure Cherry Orchard, Dublin, 5th April 2013

As part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs Gardai attached the Ballyfermot Drugs Unit searched a house in the Cherryorchard area of west Dublin this morning (5/4/2012).

During the search Cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €570,000 (pending analysis) was seized. A male aged in his 30s was arrested at the scene. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Ballyfermot Garda Station. (He can be held for up to 7 days.)
