As part of an on-going investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region the Lucan Drugs Unit and gardai from the Garda National Drugs Unit carried out a search of a house in the Hillcrest Heights area of Lucan, Dublin last night Monday 22nd April 2013.
During the course of the search cannabis herb (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €400,000 was seized. A male (late 20's) and female (early 20's) were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Ronanstown and Lucan Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
