Suspicious death in Bantry, Cork on the 7/9/12

Gardai in Bantry are investigating the circumstances of a suspicious death in Bantry this evening, the 7th September 2012.

The male 53yrs was discovered outside the town at approximately 5.20pm  on the 7th Sept. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The area has been cordoned off for a technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
 
A male in his 70's was arrested shorly afterward and taken to Bantry Garda station and is being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
