Serious injury road traffic collision on Douglas, Cork on the 11/9/12

Gardai in Douglas are appealing for witnesses following a collision at the junction of Douglas West and Galway place on the 11th September 2012.

At approximately 9am a 67-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a cyclist. He was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where his condition is described as serious. The cyclist was uninjured.

Forensic collision investigators have examined the scene and the road has since re-opened.
