Serious Assault Cork, 22nd September, 2012

Gardai in Anglesea Street are investigating a serious assault that occured at 0.55Hrs this morning 22nd September, 2012 at the Redcove Bar at Avenue De Rennes, Mahon, Cork during which a 57 year old man was assaulted.

  He was removed to Cork University Hospital, Cork where he remains in a critical condition.
 
Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses to this incident or to anyone that may have been in the area or the Redcove Bar between 12 midnight and 2 a.m. to contact Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021 - 4522000, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
