Gardai in Kevin St are investigating the fatal shooting of a male in his 30's on South Circular Rd this evening the 24th Sept 2012.
The shooting occurred at approximately 8pm on the SCR close to Griffith College, the male received serious gun shot injuries and was taken to St James Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
A dark car was seen leaving the scene, and a dark car was later found on fire on O'Curry Avenue.
