Court appearance - Serious assault in Thurles, Tipperary on the 19/2/12

Gardai in Thurles have today charged a 23 year old male with the manslaugher of James Tynan, (25 years) who died after an assault which occured on Liberty Square, Thurles in the early hours of 19th February 2012.

The male appeared before Thurles District Court this morning Tuesday, the 4th September, 2012.

Gardai in Thurles are investigating a serious assault that occured at 1.30 a.m. this morning 19th February 2012 at Liberty Square, Thurles during which a 25 year old man was assaulted. 

He was removed to South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel where he remains in a critical condition.

 
A man aged 22 years has been arrested in relation to the incident and is currently detained under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, and being held at Thurles Garda Station.
