A 32 year old man arrested as part of an operation on Monday, the 17/9/12 is expected to appear before Waterford District Court at 2pm today (19/9/12).

As part of an intelligence led operation by the Garda National Drugs Unit and the Waterford Divisional Drugs Unit in conjunction with Revenues Customs Service approximately 9 kgs of a Synthetic Drug was seized today (17/9/12).
At 1.10pm today a 32 year old man was arrested at O’ Connell Street, Waterford in possession of the Synthetic drug. In a follow-up operation a further quantity of the Synthetic drug was seized. The total value of the drugs seized today is approximately €800,000 (subject to analysis).
The 32 year old man arrested is currently detained at Waterford Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are continuing.
