Fatal Stabbing in Cork on the 6/5/12

Gardai at Anglesea St. Cork are investigating a fatal stabbing which occurred at Infirmary Road shortly after 2am on the 6th of May 2012.

The victim, a local man in his early thirties, was taken to Cork University Hospital by ambulance, and was pronounced dead a short time later. The scene is  preserved pending forensic examination by Garda Crime Scene Investigators.

One male and one female, both in their 20s, were arrested close to the scene and taken to the Bridewell Garda Station, Cork where they are detained under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act 1984.
