Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Thurles this morning (22/5/2012).
At approximately 950am a female cyclist, aged in her 70's, was fatally injured in a collision involving a bus at Kickham Street. She was pronounced dead at the scene and removed to the Mid- Western Regional Hospital, Limerick for a post mortem examination. There were no passengers travelling on the bus when the collision occurred.
Forensic Collision Investigators attended the scene and street has since re-opened to traffic.
