Extortion in Monaghan - Court Appearance

The two men arrested yesterday are expected to appear before a Special Sitting of Cavan District Court this afternoon (26/5/12) at 4.30pm charged in connection with this investigation.

Gardai in Monaghan assisted by the Emergency Response Unit arrested two males in Dundalk this morning the 25th May 2012 in connection with an alleged extortion in Monaghan.  

The two males (39 & 30yrs) are being detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended at Monaghan Garda Station.
