Two bodies discovered in car in Dundalk, Louth on the 7/3/12 - Renewed appeal

Gardaí in Dundalk investigating the discovery of the bodies of two men in a burned out car at Ravensdale Park, Dundalk on Wednesday March 7th 2012 have renewed their appeal for information.

The two bodies have been positively identified as Anthony Burnett, 31 years from Croke Villas, Dublin 3 and Joseph Redmond, 25 years from Ballybough House, Ballybough, Dublin 3.  Both men were last seen in Dublin in the early afternoon of Wednesday, the 7th March  2012.
 

Investigating Officers are anxious to trace their movements until the discovery of their bodies at Ravensdale Park, Dundalk at approximately 11pm later that night. (7/3/12)

Gardaí in Dundalk are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of what is believed to be the bodies of two persons in a car at Ravensdale Park, Dundalk at approximately 11.15pm last night (7/3/12).

The Fire service were called to extinguish a fire in a car at Ravensdale Park, during the course of this operation the two bodies were discovered.
 
The car was extensively damaged.
 
The scene is currently preserved pending a Garda Technical examination, the office of the State Pathologists office has been notified.
 
No further information is available at this stage.
