Gardai in Shannon are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle collision on the M18 at Newmarket on Fergus on the 12th of March 2012.
At approximately 18.55 hours a 29 year old male was seriously injured when the motor cycle he was driving left the carriageway and collided with the median barrier on the motorway. He was taken by ambulance to Limerick Regional Hospital.
The M18 is closed to southbound traffic between junctions 10 and 11 pending examination by forensic collision investigators and diversions are in place.
